Don't worry about it Emily. Here is a short lesson once Josh lets you drive his car.....
1. Get into car and fasten seatbelt.
2. Make sure car is not in gear.
3. Push and hold clutch pedal in while starting car.
4. Put car into first gear.
5. Turn up the boost while Josh is not looking (15 psi Baby!!!!!)
6. Rev until Redline and release clutch pedal all at once.
7. Let the fun begin.....until the LSD is broken.....

I know it is not that hard, I just don't have the patience. Plus everyone has nonstock clutches or shifters which makes it twice as hard. I think I am going to learn on my Dad's Vibe sometime soon.
U! U forgot that the gti is stock! well, ill let you drive da shyt out of it week b4 i get a new clutch... she is due to go soon... 70+k on oem clutch... so lucky... lasting 3X longer than it did on my other car
