i swear to God i have no luck with this car....i just went to Honda b/c the car was making a screeching noise in park and neutral...they said it maybe my main bearing....i have no ****ing idea...but they said to get the fixed will cost $2500 (which i dont have)...i am taking the car to KPI 2morrow morning and i called Dan at Batlground (he is going to get back to me)....i really don't know what to do y'all...if it is my tranny...i cant afford a new one...May God have mercy on my soul...

Is that a SH tranny or regular. I'm gon ask arnd and mybe we can help u out and install the new one.... I've seen it done and actually help them out for a fellow TICC member but I never try it myself.

there is someone on IA sellin a tranny for a 98 SH. its manual tho. w/ 100k miles on it. said he swapped it out w/ a obd1 n hes tryin to get rid of it. $250
My lude is stuck in no money purgatory. I am getting her back hopefully this weekend and I will start tearing into the engine to see if she is rebuildable. Hopefully the block is not cracked or warped and that the head did not get any damage. If this is the case then all I should have to do is resleeve it and get new internals and then do the 70,000 mile tune-up new water pump, belts, check the coolant system cause I think that is where it got f'ed up. Also I think I may need a rear main seal. I am not too mechanically inclined but got to go the cheapest way. Do it myself and with friends help and hopefully she will be back in a couple of months. If the block is screwed then its gonna be awhile before I have the money for a new used sh engine.
